Cockburn Libraries - Success

Lovely library, but unfortunately not as quiet as a library should be. It’s almost like a community centre where families and groups of people come to have loud meetings and discussions. Not a place i would recommend for study. perfect place to bring the kids & have a picnic.

Don’t live around this neighborhood but would love to revisit some other time if there’s a chance. Beautiful, spacious enough, well-organized and definitely community-friendly place.

A small but delightful place to be. Kudos to the staff who make the library a pleasant place to visit. I tutor in libraries, and I found this a good place as it’s quiet, has helpful staff and there is a quaint lil café in the complex if you want to have a break. There’s adequate parking, but be forewarned that Centrelink is within the complex, and it can be packed on some days.

Bright and spacious. Modern and sleek design. But can be noisy in the morning. Love the self checkout kiosk for borrowing of items.

Friendly staff. Me and my kids enjoyed the pram jam and storytime there. A bit crowded but well run. The only negative I can think of is that the covered car park is always full during the sessions.

Great facility, staff are friendly. Although can be quite loud (annoying when your trying to study) EDIT: I am aware there is a study room. But you can still hear the loud people that sit right next to it.

Good range or library items I guess…. but I always feel SO unwelcome. Every time I go there, I begin questioning myself about if this is a place I’m actually allowed to be because of the the way they look at/are towards me. That’s if they even acknowledge anyone’s existence. It’s no different with the other customers so it’s not just about me.It’s a real shame.

I needed to go somewhere where I could extract information quickly. I had been torturing my victim for hours but he was stubborn. I had heard rumours of a library (of all places) that was abysmally polluted with noise. I thought it weird but I was desperate. I took my victim to the Cockburn Library, sat him down and tied him to a chair. The staff there were too preoccupied with Story Time to notice us. Within minutes, my victim divulged everything I needed to know. He simply could not take the noise anymore and wanted out.If you ever need a loud, noisy environment to use as a form of torture, I highly recommend the Cockburn Library. Also the cafe next door serves great coffee.Response: Touché

We love our local library. The staff are always friendly and helpful and a great variety of books. I love that I can come here with my kids and not worry about keeping them silent and that there’s a space for them to read and enjoy the library.

Live in another suburb but travel to this library because it has a better range of books and we enjoy the atmosphere. It is a pleasure dealing with the staff, they were very helpful.
